Our unique log building has seen many changes in its history. Initially built as a home in the interior of B.C., it was deconstructed and transported on the train, finding it’s way to the quiet town of Canmore where it was resurrected on the current site in 1983. Soon after, the dining room was added and it became an eating establishment.
While transferring ownership several times in its early history, it changed hands for the last time in 1989 to become a family owned and operated establishment. Our doors first opened to visitors and locals as The Kabin Restaurant. In 2003, we evolved our concept and became Sage Bistro. Our upstairs space was completely renovated into our wine lounge in 2010. As one of the longest single ownership restaurants in the Bow Valley, we value your patronage and look forward to your next meal with us.
